All Black Dan Carter on verge of setting points record

New Zealand star Dan Carter goes into Saturday’s match with Wales needing only three points to become the highest scorer in Test rugby reports  BBC Sport.
His 18 points in last weekend’s 38-18 win over Ireland left him just shy of Jonny Wilkinson’s record of 1,178.

Anthony Allen called into England squad to face Samoa

Leicester centre Anthony Allen has been called into the England squad ahead of the Test against Samoa on Saturday reports BBC Sport.

Allen won two caps back in 2006 when he faced New Zealand and Argentina, but has not featured since.

Andrew Sheridan replaces Tim Payne for England

Andrew Sheridan has replaced Tim Payne at loose-head prop in England’s starting XV for Saturday’s match against New Zealand at Twickenham reports BBC Sport

Sheridan is the only change to the side which beat Australia in Sydney in June.

Hooker Steve Thompson held off the challenge of Dylan Hartley, who missed the summer tour with injury and captain Lewis Moody, who suffered a career-threatening eye injury last month and needed stitches in a head wound last week, is fit.

Lee Byrne ruled out of 3 November Tests for Wales

Wales full-back Lee Byrne has been sidelined for the autumn Tests against Australia, South Africa and Fiji after fracturing a bone in his hand reports BBC Sport.

The Welsh Rugby Union say Byrne has “an outside chance” of making the 27 November New Zealand game but he misses Australia, South Africa and Fiji.

New Zealand All Blacks win Tri Nations Again

The New Zealand All Blacks sealed the 2010 Tri-Nations title in dramatic fashion after two very late tries set up an enthralling win over South Africa in Johannesburg reports BBC Sport
The hosts had led 22-17 up until the 78th minute when All Blacks skipper Richie McCaw scored a controversial try in the corner to level the scores.
Israel Dagg then secured the title when he latched on to Ma’a Nonu’s pass
